Teach Share is a collaborative space for educators. To keep our community safe, respectful, and productive, we ask all members to follow these guidelines:

  1. Be Respectful
  • Treat others with kindness and professionalism.
  • Respect differing opinions and teaching styles.
  1. Share Responsibly
  • Upload only original materials, created or adapted by you.
  • Once uploaded, resources become part of the TeachShare community and may be adapted or redistributed accordingly.
  1. Stay On Topic
  • Use the Teachers’ Lounge chats for relevant discussions by year level.
  • Avoid spam, self-promotion, or off-topic content.
  1. Protect Privacy
  • Do not share personal information of students, colleagues, or others.
  • Use pseudonyms if preferred when posting publicly.
  1. Report Issues
  • If you see inappropriate content or behaviour, report it to the TeachShare team.
  • We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no system is 100% secure, so we encourage strong passwords and safe browsing practices.

📘 Copyright & Intellectual Property

1. Ownership of Content

All content available on the TeachShare website, including but not limited to text, graphics, lesson materials, worksheets, templates, logos, icons, digital downloads, and platform design elements (collectively, “TeachShare Content”), is owned by TeachShare or licensed to TeachShare. TeachShare retains all rights, title, and interest in the TeachShare content, including all associated copyright and intellectual property rights.

Users acknowledge that they do not acquire any ownership rights in TeachShare content by accessing, downloading, or using the platform.

2. User‑Generated Content

Teachers and creators may upload original teaching resources (“User Content”) to the TeachShare platform.

By uploading User Content, the User warrants that:

  • they are the sole creator and copyright owner of the material, or
  • they have obtained all necessary rights and permissions to upload and share the material.

Users must not upload any content that infringes the copyright, trademarks, moral rights, or intellectual property rights of any third party.

3. Licence Granted to TeachShare

By uploading User Content, the User grants TeachShare a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free licence to:

  • store, display, reproduce, and distribute the content on the TeachShare platform
  • make the content available to other members in accordance with the User’s chosen sharing settings
  • use the content for platform functionality, marketing, and promotional purposes (without identifying student information)
  1. Prohibited Use of TeachShare Content

Unless expressly permitted, Users must not:

  • copy, reproduce, or distribute TeachShare Content for commercial purposes
  • resell, sublicense, or share TeachShare Content outside the platform
  • modify or adapt TeachShare Content for resale
  • remove copyright notices, branding, or attribution from any TeachShare materials

Any unauthorised use may result in suspension or termination of the User’s account.

  1. Respecting the Intellectual Property of Others

TeachShare is committed to protecting the intellectual property rights of creators. Users must not upload or share:

  • copyrighted materials they did not create
  • resources purchased from other platforms (e.g., Twinkl, TPT, Teach Starter)
  • school‑owned materials without permission
  • content containing identifiable student information

TeachShare may remove any content that appears to breach copyright or other legal rights, at its sole discretion.

  1. Copyright Infringement & Takedown Procedure

If you believe that material on TeachShare infringes copyright or intellectual property rights, please notify us at services@teachshare.com.au in writing with:

  • your name and contact details
  • a description of the copyrighted work
  • the URL or location of the allegedly infringing material
  • a statement confirming your good‑faith belief that the use is unauthorised
  • a statement that the information provided is accurate

TeachShare will investigate and remove infringing material where appropriate.
